A fable about Mvunyathi the peacock. A long long time ago, a peacock was born and named Mvunyathi. She grew up in the villages where she was known to be the daughter of a athlete who had been so successful in his career but she had never met him before. She was told that her dad had passed. She grew up into a beautiful woman, well-mannered and respectful. She was then helped by her family members to go to Hatfield, where she would meet her trainer because she loved cross country as well. She had competed in Pretoria, Centurion, and Midrand and would not win her medals or get first place and she was on the verge of giving up. She then told her trainer how she had lost her parents at a very young age and that his father was an athlete long ago. The trainer was shocked and confused. He had met someone at a hospital in Sandton who was blind and did mention that he had a daughter. The man remembered the daughter’s birthday and the trainer put two and two together. He asked if peacock Mvunyathi would meet Peacock Abel who was in the hospital and of course, it was her dad! Indeed, they met. Because peacock Abel has won as a cross country athlete, the trainer asked Abel to help the daughter by encouraging her during her match day from Centurion to Midrand, and surprisingly, she won first place! The lesson is that never give up, God always has His plan for your life.
