If you have any queries, direct them to your instructor. Scenario Access Accounting Services (AAS) is an accounting firm that has been in operation for almost 15 years in Kingston. AAS is now one of the leading accounting service providers across the island. For the past two years, their client base in Montego Bay has increased significantly. For AAS to deliver and maintain quality and effective service, their officers must travel to Montego Bay weekly to meet with clients. When officers are required to travel, the organization absorbs their travel expenses such as petrol, meals, and boarding. Officers are also paid a subsistence allowance for the excess travelling. At their half-year review in September 2020, AAS discovered that their operation cost had hiked by 60 percent. This vast rise was owed to the upsurge in expenses associated with the increased travelling of officers to Montego Bay to conduct consultations with existing and potential clients. A recommendation was made for AAS to establish an office in Montego Bay, since business opportunities have grown and continue to grow in that region. As the manager, you have been asked to review this recommendation for possible implementation. As such, you are required to execute the following activities: a) Assess the risk involved if the organization decides to implement the recommendation. b) Identify and coordinate the resources that would be required to successfully execute. c) Identify additional staff.
