Leave Mysteries Alone! A LIFE OR DEATH QUESTION WHAT SHALL I DO TO INERIT ETERNAL LIFE? (LUKE 10:25) WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS? Also, [that] the soul [be] without knowledge, [it is] not good; and he that hasteth with [his] feet sinneth. Provers 19:2 Have you ever asked yourself this question, 'What shall i do to iherit eternal life?' Has it ever burdened you? It's sad to see many of us loose focus on this life and death question. listin to this admonition: Do not allow anything to draw your attention from the question, "What shall I do to inherit eternal life?" (Luke 10:25). This is a life and death question, which we must each settle for eternity. 1SM 171.3 Diverted from the testing truth? Let the mind be weighted with the importance of the solemn truth which we possess. Those who allow the mind to wander in search of cheap, unimportant theories need to be converted. . . . {1SM 171.3} This is to say many are diverted from the true test question of this time. Will you let yourself? These mind diverters could be worldings or unimportant theories or heresis. Unimportant Theories Erroneous theories, with no authority from the word of God, will come in on the right hand and on the left, and to weaklings these theories will appear as truth which makes wise. But they are as nothingness. 2NL 162.6 The people of God have no time to dwell on the indefinite, frivolous questions which have no bearing on God's requirements. {2NL 162.6} Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: [so do]. 1 Timothy 1:4 where is the origin of unimportant subjects? Satan😢 diverts our attention and make unimportant questions appear really wonferful: "Satan is now using every device in this sealing time to keep the minds of God's people from the present truth and to cause them to waver" EW43.2 Dwell upon questions that concern our eternal welfare. Anything that the enemy can devise to divert the mind from God's Word, anything new and strange that he can originate to create a diversity of sentiment, he will introduce as something wonderfully important. . . . {1MR 58.2} The enemy will strive to cause believers to search out matters of minor importance, and to dwell at length upon these matters in committee meetings and council meetings. But by turning their attention to questions of so little consequence, the brethren hinder the work instead of advancing it. {1MR 58.3} CHARACTERSISTIS OF SUCH SUBJECTS 1. Makes men not see the love of God: " Satan is determined that men shall not see the love of God which led Him to give His only begotten Son to save a lost race..." 2NL 153.6 2. They are strange and new 1MR58.2 3. They are argumentative 4. Exiciting and sensational 5. Diverts minds from Christ and from the special truth of this time 6. Not fully revealed to us 1 SM 159.3 7. Not essential for our salvationn 2NL 156.6 8. Mingles human suppositions and conjectives 2nl 156.5 9. Contradicts the special truths of our faith 1 SM 161.2 n a m o n "Let u o y e v i e dec n i a v h t i w 6 : 5 . H P E " s d r o w 10. Often above finite comprehension 11. They are indefinite and frivolous questions "I have been shown that it is the device of the enemy to lead minds to dwell upon some obscure or unimportant point, something that is not fully revealed or is not essential to our salvation." 1SM 159.3 TESTING SUBJECTS OF TIME 1. Sacred and Beautiful in their simplicity 2NL 160.9 2. Are plainly revealed to us. 2 NL 163.7 They reveal Christ as the saviour to the world. They soften and subdue the soul 2 NL 155.2 3. Are questions on obedience of Gods commandments ant the testimony of Jesus 2NL 159.6 Learn to take the truths that have been revealed, and to handle them in such a way that they will be food for the flock of God. {1SM 162.2} Are the questions adressed by antrinitatian doctrine food for God's flock? Questions like: Is Jesus God? Is the Holy Spirit God? Personality of Holy Spirit? But we have one God? Pre-existence of Christ? What does the bible plainly say: There's one GOD CHRIST is God (John 1:1) Immanuel- God with us Jesus pre-existed (John 1:2) The father, son & holy spirit are one "Many things are above finite comprehension. Truths are to be received not within the reach of our reason, and not for us to explain." 1SM 163.2 Are these questions testing subjects of this time? Are they plainly revealed to us? Do they reveal Christ as the saviour of the world? Do they soften and sudue your soul? How are such questions called? "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." 1 Tim 3:16 MYSTERY OF GODLINESS? What is a mystery? indefinite/ not fully revealed/above finite comprehension Is mystery of godliness food for God's flock? NO! ........."But those things that we cannot clearly comprehend are not tenth as important to us as are the truths of God's Word that we ca clearly comprehend and bring into our daily life..." 1SM 163.1 LEAVE MYSTERIES ALONE! "Now there are in the lessons of Christ, subjects in abundance that you can speak upon. And mysteries which neither you nor your hearers can understand or explain might better be left alone. Give the Lord Jesus Christ room Himself to teach; let Him by the influence of His Spirit open to the understanding the wonderful plan of salvation." {1SM 180.1} (GC. 524.2) A DANGEROUS DOCTRINE: 1. Denies the deity of Christ 2. Directly contradicts the plainest statements of our Saviour concerning His relationship with the Father, His divine character, and His pre-existence 3. Unwarranted wresting of the Scriptures 4. It not only lowers man's conceptions of the work of redemption, but undermines faith in the Bible as a revelation from God 5. None who hold this error can have a true conception of the character or the mission of Christ, or of the great plan of God for man's redemption. A.A 51 IS IT ESSENTIAL TO DEFINE &DENY THE PERSONALITY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT? 1. It is not essential for us to be able to define just what the Holy Spirit is 2. The nature of the Holy Spirit is a mystery 3. Men cannot explain it, because the Lord has not revealed it to them 4. Acceptance of these views will not strengthen the church. 5. Regarding such mysteries, which are too deep for human understanding, silence is golden. Behold the Lamb of God Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? Luke 10:25 This do, and thou shalt live Luke 10:28 Let the plain, simple statements of the Word of God be food for the mind; this speculating upon ideas that are not clearly presented there is dangerous business. {1SM 181.1} Do You still Want To Continue Dwelling upon this Dangerous subject? To still find out the mysterey of godliness? To still reject and question the deity of Christ? To still search the nature of the Holy spirit? To undermine the faith in the Bible? To continue with fantansy and human construction? If men reject the testimony of the inspired Scriptures concerning the deity of Christ, it is in vain to argue the point with them; for no argument, however conclusive, could convince them. GC 524 Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. Luke 10":7 Silence is Golden. It is in vain to argue "It is presumption to indulge in suppositions and theories regarding matters that God has not made known to us in His word." 2NL 163
