MY VIVA EXPERIENCE AT BUP-FBS First and foremost, I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to BUP Admission Mission (BAM) for assisting me in achieving my dream. I will be eternally grateful to Nayeem bhai and Sabbir bhai for being such wonderful mentors! My viva was slated to begin at 9:00 a.m., however it began over an hour later due to document verification. After my documents were reviewed, I was sent to a room with a group of ten candidates, where I waited for another half hour before being called. A male and female faculty member served on the board. Myself: Good morning, and Assalamu Alaikum! Madam: Assalamualaikum. Please take a seat and hand the papers to Sir. Sir: Shahnima Shafiq Simin is your name. That is an unusual name. It's something I've never heard of before. What exactly does Shahnima mean? Myself: (smizing) It refers to the king's youngest queen. Madam- So, tell us a little bit about yourself. Myself: Hello! Shahnima Shafiq Simin here. I got a 5.00 GPA in both SSC and HSC from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College. My father works as a banker, and my mother is a stay-at-home mom. My younger brother is in Dhaka Residential Model College, he is in class 7. Sir: what do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Myself: I enjoy cooking, having people over, socializing, designing and making new clothes, going shopping, and spending time with my family, and many more. Sir: So, you were a student at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College? science background? Oh. You should absolutely get a degree in science. You'll have a more successful career! There's no need to take a BBA. Myself: (laughs) No, sir, I've always been fascinated by brand and marketing concerns! And now that I've finished my HSC, I've decided to pursue a career in business! Madam- What do you want to do after you finish your BBA? Myself: I'd like to get an MBA and work in the business world. I feel that after obtaining enough experience, I will be able to establish my own business. Madam: It was nice talking to you. You're free to leave now! Myself: Thank you! My viva was only 5 minutes long. I was expecting the worst, but the board was actually quite pleasant! I'm not going to make any recommendations regarding any dos and don'ts for viva as you'll find plenty in here. Just maintain the common etiquettes of an interview. It's okay to be nervous, just do not let them apprehend about your nervousness and most importantly, PUT ON A SMILING FACE no matter what. That's it.
