Introduction
On 2004 BRASS created its Research and Development Area (R&D) which to date has developed various simulations, leak
detectors, hydraulic calculation, laboratory tests, pressure sensors and other technological development.

MAIN FEATURES
▪ LDS is designed to operate as a Leak
Detection System and, from the Control
Room, can work as an Operation Support
Device for the Fluid Transportation System
(FTS).
▪ For the Operation Support, the LDS could
include an hydraulic simulator in order to:
▪ Develop Operator Training Sessions
▪ Generate FTS Operation Analysis

General Features
▪ It is an internal system device.
▪ Uses pressure, flow and density sensors and
transmitters, valves and pumps, etc.
▪ Simulates the Fluid Transportation System
(FTS) on real time and applies deviation
analysis between the measured and the
calculated variables.

Communication
▪ BRASS LDS extracts the sensor measure signals
from the DCS, PLC, controllers, I/O, etc.,
through OPC Technology .
▪ To reduce the Project implementation time,
BRASS provides an OPC configuration support
service, which is executed by our OPC
(Matrikon) certified engineers.
