Reflection
Pope Francis' second encyclical, Laudato Si, meaning "Praise Be to You, My Lord." The
concept of internal ecology is established in the Encyclical Laudato Si as a paradigm that
allows us to articulate our relationship with God.
Seeing the world through the poor's eyes. Pope Francis, in my opinion, wanted to
underline the importance of caring for the poor and keeping an eye on them. One of our
life's objectives is to assist the impoverished. We must be kind and nice to them,
especially if we are fortunate enough to be able to do so. We should embody the change
that the impoverished desire to see. It could be in the form of a charitable donation, a
feeding program, children's education, cash donations, or any other sort of aid. As we
fulfill our responsibility as God's children, helping the impoverished allows us to enter the
Kingdom of God, paradise. Also, helping others, particularly the impoverished, provides
us a new sense of fulfillment since it brings calm to our hearts and gives our spirit a home.
Another point to consider is the Earth, where we currently reside. It is critical to our wellbeing that we take good care of our surroundings. The ability to maintain equilibrium in
our daily lives is provided by the Earth. Nature is a gift from God that allows us to exist
and thrive. Even small actions like appropriate rubbish disposal, not burning plastics, and
refraining from illegal ecological attacks such as deforestation or illegal swimming can
make an impact.
As what Pope Francis says, “Given the scale of change, it is no longer possible to find a
specific, discrete answer for each part of the problem. It is essential to seek
comprehensive solutions that consider the interactions within natural systems themselves
and with social systems. We are faced not with two separate crises, one environmental
and the other social, but rather with one complex crisis which is both social and
environmental. Strategies for a solution demand an integrated approach to combating
poverty, restoring dignity to the excluded, and at the same time protecting nature.”
(Laudato Si’, 139)
It just takes a few little steps to create a significant effect. It's fine to begin on our own,
but it's preferable if there are more. As a result, we must be compassionate, generous,
and sympathetic to everyone. Above all, place God at the center of our life so that we can
perceive things through God's eyes.
