You use the SAProuter in the network.
Solution
The SAProuter is downward compatible in the sense that a newer version of
SAProuter can replace and work with an older version of SAProuter.
The SAProuter is delivered via the SAP software download center (SWDC) with the
stack kernel archive SAPEXE.SAR and saprouter_<no>.sar as an individual patch
(only selected kernel versions).
SAPEXE.SAR of supported kernel releases can be used to load the corresponding
SAProuter versions from the SWDC. However, the use of SAProuter from SAPEXE.SAR
is not recommended without valid justifications.
The individual SAProuter archive saprouter_<no>.sar is currently available for
the following version:
• SAProuter 7.53 (End of Maintenance date: 31.12.2025)
The individual SAProuter archive contains only the Non-Unicode SAProuter. The
Non-Unicode SAProuter works for both Unicode and Non-Unicode backend systems.
The individual SAProuter archive has a shorter
kernel archive, therefore it contains the most
features. As such, SAP recommends that you use
SAProuter archive. In addition, SAP recommends
patch.

SAProuter 7.53 works for all the supported backend SAP NetWeaver and SAP S/4HANA
releases.
