Solution
Given:
Vo = 12 m/s
Vo = -12 m/s
V=?
a = -9.81 m/s2
t = 0.45 s
V = Vo + at
V = ( -12 m/s ) + ( -9.8 m/s2 ) ( 0.45 s )
V = -16. 41 m/s
The velocity of the stone after 0.45 seconds is 16.41 m/s.
