Unit 3 Assessment: Cooking for Nutrition (AOL) Task: You will find, and prepare a recipe(s) of your choice, demonstrating safe food preparation methods and techniques. You may prepare one or several food items, however they must meet the following criteria: ● The food item must meet the nutritional needs of people at a specific stage of life ● The food item must meet the nutritional needs of a person with a specific illness or disease such as a nutrient deficiency or excess ● The food item must include a product that is currently being marketed as a functional food (such as flax seed, chia, pomegranates etc…) You will record the preparation and cooking process using video or images, ensuring that you are demonstrating safe techniques and videos.
