GEOG/POL/SOC 341 WI Peer Editing Feedback Form Guidelines Point of peer editing is NOT to tell anyone what is “wrong” - only to act as an interested reader who wants to learn from the other person’s work. No apologizing by the writer or the reader! Help the reader express ideas clearly; do not argue about ideas expressed in the paper. Points to address during the review Comment on the introduction What is the central idea? Is the central idea clear? What is especially interesting about the paper? What is the “nugget”? How well is the paper organized? How could the organization be improved? For each of the sections/topics: Is the main point clear? Are academic/scholarly sources included for support? Identify any concerns with summarizing, paraphrasing or quoting. Provide input on any grammar concerns that you identified.
