An Unexpected Day
When my mom and I walked into Pet Valu, we saw the one and only Isabella. Isabella was a nice
black cat with orange eyes. As my mom and I roamed the store, Isabella followed us closely right along
side our feet.
When my mom and I were done in the store, we headed out with a bag of dog treats for my
grandpa’s dog. As we left the store, I had a gut feeling that we were missing something. I decided to look
back at the door and there was Isabella and she was suddenly looking at me straight in the eye. she put
her front paws up against the door, you could here the bells jingle from the door.
I quickly turned my moms shoulders and yelled “look!”. My mom turned her head as if there
was a car coming and we were both now looking at her as if it was meant to be.
I looked at my mom like we won the lottery. She looked at me for ten seconds after I looked at
her, and I thought that at least something was meant to be, so we went back there the next day to see if
she was still there. We looked around the entire store and she was at the back of the store laying on a
food bag.
We petted her for a little while and then I carried her to the front to ask for us to see if we could
adopt her, because she was just the sweetest cat ever. We did not have any animals at the time so, my
mom was just talking to the manager while I was playing with her on one of the cat beds.
My mom ended up swiping her card on the debit machine and we got her! We were so excited
to show Isabella her new home but we both realized that her name didn’t suit her that much, but the
name Bella did.
Years later…
Bella? Well, we ended up having a great connection with her, especially me. I always
communicate with Bella. Well looks like we are going to live happily ever after after all.
And now… we have another cat named Luna but that is another story.
