The general idea our team has made is to provide viewers with an overview of the distinct
experiences in the United Arab Emirates. Needless to say, some individuals are unfamiliar with
the UAE, which is why the majority of the information we provided focused on Dubai and Abu
Dhabi, the two most populous emirates in the country. Also, we've highlighted the most wellknown foods, culture, media, and pop-cultural influences of the country in the vlog. Lastly, we
wanted to show how diverse and rich the UAE is especially having the seven emirates that make
up the country.

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates located in the Persian Gulf, and these
are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah. It is the
home to the tallest building in the world, some of the most luxurious hotels, and a beautiful
culture rarely found in other countries. Today, we will explore the rich and diverse experiences
that the UAE offers and how they've affected the world.
-Intro video for Food 1st presenter: Derigay
The United Arab Emirates is well-known as one of the most popular hubs in the modern world. It
offers a variety of traditional cuisines such as Shawarma. The classic shawarma is a kind of Middle
Eastern sandwich that can be found on every corner and is said to be incredibly wonderful. It is
made from slow-roasted and spiced meat, usually chicken or lamb. Shawarma has traveled far
beyond the UAE like New York City, Delhi, Moscow, and Tokyo. However, eating shawarma in
Dubai is an experience not to be missed.
2nd presenter: Cagape
In addition to that, the Stuffed Camel is one of the most delectable dishes in the UAE. It is
regarded as one of Dubai's most luxurious and celebratory food and has been recognized by the
Guinness World Book of Records as one of the world's largest cuisines. The stuffed camel is
cooked on a spit over an open flame and can be filled with chicken, eggs, fish, sheep, and spices.
Undeniably, this dish should be on your list of things to try in the UAE.

3rd presenter: Plaza
The United Arab Emirates has a diverse culture and heritage that is rooted in traditional Arab and
Islamic values. Islam is the religion in UAE which is the basis of their culture and it shows in their
political system, clothing, culture, and way of life. Similarly, mosques flourish across the emirates,
at each street corner, in every compound, from the smallest to the largest. The Sheikh Zayed
Mosque in Abu Dhabi is one of the most stunning mosques in the UAE and definitely one of the
must-sees in the country. Despite the fact that Islam is the country's official religion, UAE has
long advocated for religious freedom. This diversity reflects the very strong ethnic diversity in the
country.
4th presenter: Calo
The traditional dress of the UAE symbolizes pride and identity and is constructed with religious
beliefs as well as the comfort of people. It also suits well the hot climatic conditions of the
UAE, providing good protection from the blistering sun and heat. The historical trace of the
traditional clothing of the UAE goes back to the Bedouin culture, which prevailed in the Arabic
peninsula. Traditionally, the Emirati wear clothes are the abaya and the kandura. The kandura is
a white shirt that has a length up to the ankles while the abaya is a black over-garment worn by
women as a headscarf. The white colors and the design of the attire are two aspects that make
it suitable for the hot climate of the UAE.
5th presenter: Monton
When it comes to art, UAE has remarkably shaped its cultural heritage. In fact, the UAE was the
first Gulf state to have a permanent pavilion at the International Art Exhibition La Biennale di
Venezia and is gaining global traction for its homegrown art scene. In 2009, the UAE began
participating in Venice, showcasing Emirati art. UAE’s art scene has all attracted international
attention such as the establishment of the Sharjah Biennial, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, and Louvre
Abu Dhabi. The UAE's passion for art has permeated and influenced architectural designs. In cities
like Abu Dhabi and Dubai, rolling deserts give way to towering skyscrapers influenced by both old
Islamic traditions and a futuristic vision of what modern life could be. The Burj Khalifa, Burj Al
Arab, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and Emirate Palace are examples of the UAE's remarkable
infrastructure. Indeed, UAE has an impressive, innovative, and modernist architecture that has
influenced the rest of the world.
-Intro video for Media6th presenter: De Vera
The media plays a key role in forming the UAE's national identity and social cohesiveness by
instilling pride in Emirati culture, loyalty, and hard work among young residents. Due to the fast
evolution of social media in the Arab world, individuals have been able to innovate, which has
given rise to new opportunities and social movements in Arab communities. UAE is home to the
primary offices of various TV broadcasters and has at least 72 free-to-air stations operating from
the UAE in 2011, The debut of the Arabic-language Sky News Arabia, a 24-hour news service that
began broadcasting live to more than 50 million homes across the Middle East and North Africa,
was a major addition in May 2012.
7th presenter: Ondora
The UAE government is particularly interested in fostering film production in the country. In fact,
UAE has more than 60 feature-length narrative films that have been produced. Image Nation Abu
Dhabi, a state-owned media production company, began making feature films by supporting
young Emirati filmmakers and recruiting foreign filmmakers to "mentor" and develop content.
Production companies shooting in the emirates can take advantage of substantial cash rebates
from the Abu Dhabi Film Commission and the Dubai Film and TV Commission. The annual Dubai
International Film Festival strengthens the UAE's position in the global media industry and
highlights the country's commitment to development.
-Intro video for Pop-Culture8th presenter: Lauron
There is a huge variety of music and dance in the UAE. These are played and performed during
happy events like Eid, engagements, wedding receptions, and general festivals. One of the most
well-known traditional dances in Dubai is the Ay-ayyalah, commonly referred to as the stick
dance that portrays war, beginning with a deep beat from the Al Ras, which establishes the tempo
for the Takhamir. Traditionally, the Khaleej Music are being played which accompanies different
tasks of Emiratis. In modern times, the bands blend the oud, a well-known musical instrument,
with electronics, jazz, and breakbeats to create a distinctive sound. Some of the popular bands
in the UAE are the As Per Casper and NOON. In 2021, the UNESCO Creative Cities Network
declared Abu Dhabi as a 'City of Music.' The emirate now joined Liverpool in the United Kingdom,
Auckland in New Zealand, Sevilla in Spain, and Chennai in India as focus locations for music
creativity as drivers of sustainable development plans.
9th presenter: Palen
One of the popular cultures UAE has is in the area of sports. Formula One racing, for example,
has grown in popularity, with the majority of events taking place at the Yas Marina Circuit. It is
the world's most prestigious racing for open-wheel single-seater, having gone a long way from
its debut race in 1950. The race takes place all over the globe and is often broadcast which makes
F1 fans highly devoted, and some even go to the UAE just to see it live. The F1 track outside a city
center is only within walking distance from a major studio’s theme park, water park, mega mall,
and hotels, attracting more people to watch Formula 1 racing than other racing sports. This type
of sport has strengthened Abu Dhabi's tourist industry, which in turn has helped the UAE's
economic growth.
