Historical presentations 5% Oral
LEARNING GOALS: Students will understand and communicate the
historical context of the novel stemming from the 1930’s through the end of WW
II while also making connections to the novel’s themes and plotlines. Students
will also communicate their understanding of effective oral speaking skills in
their presentation.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
 Is approx. 10 minutes in length total
 Uses 3 google slides per person effectively (see success criteria below)
 Is able to symbolically and socially analyze a historical image
Each group member is responsible for creating 3 slides including the following:
o Slide 1: Historical Information on the topic
o Slide 2: Significant image/photo analyzed
o Slide 3: Quotation/Passage analysis from the novel
