September 11, 2001 Essay: The Horror of America

September 11, 2001 is known in America as a major terrorism attack taught in schools,
businesses, and homes to understand what really happened then. It struck fear across the nation,
with phone lines and internet jammed for family members seeing if their loved one lived. It can
only be described as the horror of America.
Al-Qaeda was the leader of a terrorist group known as ‘The Base’ in Arabic was founded
by Osama Bin Laden. It only had one goal: destroy all and any countries to succeed in revenge
and fear. Terrorists have only one job of themselves and it is to create fear. Mostly targeted at the
citizens, terrorists give their lives for catastrophic attacks that make everyday people paranoid
about the outside world.
September 11, 2001 was an attack for the World Trade Towers, the Pentagon, and
Washington District of Columbia. However, two of the three targets were hit in spite of efforts.
The commercial plane set for Washington D.C. was directed to rural Pennsylvania by passengers
who lost their life saving thousands of others. The WTC had been hit by two commercial
airplanes and the Pentagon by one.
While there are many who lost their lives, those who called emergency services saved so
many with a few minutes on the phone. Those who didn’t call emergency services were able to
send voicemails that left their last words before death. While sad, it has kept the U.S. always in
alert and remembering those who died.
