Objectives In the end of the discussion, pupils will be able to: a. multiply numbers with decimals using four-steps process, and b. apply this concept to word problem. II. Subject Matter Topic: Multiplying Decimals References: 21st Century MATHletes Textbook for Grade 5, pages 126-130 Materials: Visual Aids, Marker, Tape, Worksheet III. Learning Procedures A. Preliminary Activities Prayer Greetings Checking of Attendance Setting of Standard B. Lesson Proper Review The teacher will ask the pupils about their previous discussion. Process the student’s response. Motivation The pupils will perform "Kung Ikaw Ay Masaya" Pre-Activity "Measuring your stock knowledge" The teacher will present a number and the students will answer. Discussion The teacher presents the topic and explain to the whole class. Post-Activity “Put my dot correctly” The teacher will devide the class into 2 groups. Each group will pick an envelop in teachers table. The invelop containing different question for them to answer. IV. Evaluation The teacher will give an individual worksheet and the teacher will give them a project related to multipyling decimals. V. Assignment Teaching Strategies: Preparing Project and Collection Preparing Project and Collection is a pedagogical strategy in which students produce a product related to a topic. The teacher sets the goals for the learner, and then allows learner to explore the topic and create their project. This teaching strategy should be done after the class, and the students should be given an aloted time in doing such particular project.
