PREFACE
English for Academic and Professional Purposes Teacher Prepared Module for Senior High
School is a product of a concerted effort of selected Senior High School Writers who were tasked to come
up with an Instructional Materials to facilitate easy teaching and learning process.
The need to come up with this instructional module arises due to the evident absence of books
and other references from the Department of Education, thus the DepEd Camarines Sur Division through
the initiative of Dr. Preciosa R. dela Vega Education Program Specialist in English, duly supported by Dr.
Susan S. Collano, the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, deemed it wise to create the said
module thinking of the welfare of the Bicolano learners.
Education is said to be the birthright of every Filipino, each student deserves quality education
well provided for by the state. With this in mind, the group brainstormed on different avenues and
techniques in presenting the lesson to fill the knowledge craving mind of the 21st century learners.
This module contains learning tasks in line with the Curriculum Guide taken from various sources
and media. These tasks are geared towards the correct accumulation of concepts and ideas to prepare
them to the next ladder of education.
It is our fervent hope that fellow educators like you would take advantage of this effort by DepEd
Camarines by using this module which was duly validated by the scholarly mind of the different
identified School Heads of Camarines Sur. Hopefully, you would enjoy teaching using this Instructional
Materials.
