Nilotic Language
Nilotic languages, as shown by the word “Nilotic”, are mainly spoken by the
Nilotic peoples who are migrated from the Nile River. Now they are mainly
separated in northwestern Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan,
and western Ethiopia southward across Uganda and Kenya into
northern Tanzania.
The Nilotic Language family have 29-53 sub-languages, mainly are divided
into three branches, the Eastern Branch, the Southern Branch, and the
Western Branch.
The Nilotic language are significantly and sustained influenced by other side
factors since modern times such as the adding of the international boundaries
across their traditional areas, the modern education systems, the government
policies. War, famine, medical care, and some safety concern also caused
some significant damage.
The thrive and Lost of the Nilotic Languages are just one of the
representatives of the traditional languages being gradually forgotten caused
by many factors in the modern world. The traditional cultural elements should
be well-preserved and protected by the humans.
