After reviewing the position requirements, I believe that my qualifications and education are a great match. I am currently working on getting a master’s degree of social work—another career field that is all about giving and helping those in need, much in the way education is. I am also skilled at conflict resolution, managing groups, differentiation, group and individual instruction, lesson implementation, etc. I understand the value of clear communication, project and time management and following instructions in detail. As a former Army servicemember, I’m adaptable and can build rapport with individuals from a myriad of backgrounds. I also feel compelled to assist teachers who are not able to take off due to a substitute shortage and although I am only one person, I know that every person helps. While reviewing my resume, you may notice a gap in my employment. During that period, I elected to take a leave from the workforce in order to go back to school. The time I have been able to commit to my education has been invaluable to my professional growth and has helped me to expand my knowledge base to those who I will soon serve in social work, and possibly, to your students. I am eager to re-enter the professional sphere and apply my newfound knowledge and qualifications. Thank you for your time. It would be a pleasure to speak with you and discuss this opportunity with Judson Independent School District. I look forward to hearing from you soon. In Community there is Strength, Natasha Glenn
