Management team’s mission is to provide a consistent, straight forward, and efficient ingress (entry) and egress (exit) solution for all individuals that hold a valid access device at all official sites, including stadiums and the International Media Centre/International Broadcast Centre. What will I do? Access management volunteers play an integral role, by helping the Venue Access Manager to implement the access management concept. • Assist in testing the Security Access Control Systems • Assist in checking/changing of Access Boards. • Identify and escalate issues with the entry, movement and exit of personnel and spectators within the stadium perimeter. • Provide troubleshooting support for access issues. Accessibility Project Description The Accessibility Team is responsible for ensure the facilities and services we deliver are accessible and inclusive for disabled people. What will I do? • • • • • Monitor and review the accessibility facilities and services being provided across the various sites and programmes Liaise with staff and volunteers to understand any accessibility challenges or issues that need addressing Respond to experiences being faced by disabled visitors that need addressing Obtain feedback from disabled people using the various sites, facilities and services Report back and log on any issues causing concern to the Accessibility Manager 4 Accreditation Project Description The Accreditation team have a really important role and are one of the first teams to begin their operation, often a week or more before the tournament begins. This team is responsible for producing accreditation passes, which serve as the photo identification for anyone working or volunteering at the event. What will I do? • • • • You will be the friendly face that will welcome clients to the Accreditation Centre when they arrive to pick up their pass You will help ensure that the data collected for each individual is accurate. You will pre-print accreditation passes to ensure the team is prepared for lots of collections as the tournament nears. You will help deliver Accreditation passes to certain client groups Arrivals and Departures Project Description Arrivals and Departures team are responsible for efficient and effective ready to receive end-to-end-operation to all constituent groups and visitors, providing seamless services at the arrival and departure at all main points of entry to the State of Qatar. What will I do? • • • • • • • Host Country & Host City promotion: be ready to provide information regarding the Country, City, point of attractions, transport network, Event itself and etc. Meet and greet participants and guests of the event at the welcome desk and designated areas: Meet and greet, be the first point of contact for all the guest and spectators arriving to the State of Qatar. Transport assistance: be ready to work on the load zones at the airports and sea port, advice passengers regarding the tournament time transport network and public transport systems. Information and statistic gathering: Communicate daily updates and information, including monitoring the passenger flows, statistics any specific cases. Report and escalate any concerns regarding the spectators’ arrival and departure. Administrative functions: Help with any required office management and administrative tasks. Crowd control & managing the incoming and outgoing guest flow. Information & language support. Catering Project Description The Catering team make sure everyone working or volunteering at the match can have a nutritious meal and plenty of refreshments. This includes players, referees, media, and VIP guests! What will I do? • You will assist with the delivery of refreshments and meal boxes. 5 • • • You will monitor portions and verify menu items. You will help monitor food safety standards and report any issues. You will ensure the teams’ drink fridges are kept stocked. Ceremonies Project Description Ceremonies Team are responsible for the planning and delivery of the spectacular Ceremonies projects in connection to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ The Ceremonies projects are: Opening Ceremony for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ - 21 November 2022 Closing Ceremony (CC) for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ - 18 December 2022 64 Pre-Match Ceremonies (PMC) FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ - 21 November – 18 December 2022 3rd Place Award Presentation (3RD) for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ - 17 December 2022 Trophy & Awards Presentation (TRO) for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ - 18 December 2022 Each Ceremonies project is a unique event, where elements will showcase the fantastic Host Country of Qatar, celebrate the competing teams and create a visual spectacular for spectators and everyone watching the broadcast around the world. Volunteers will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of each Ceremonies project. Each event involves a large group of people, all aiming for perfection. Volunteers will contribute significantly to the Ceremonies team as a whole and will hopefully experience a once in a lifetime opportunity. Communications Project Description The Communication Team trough it`s fan engagement programme is responsible for organising Football Federation affiliated fan group related activations. It is in charge of managing their operations and making sure their entry to the competition or noncompetition venues and their participation in Fan Zones or any other fan-related activities run smoothly as the communication team ensures the overall wellbeing of these fan groups during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. Competition Management Project Description 6 Competition Management team is responsible for delivering Competition Operations during the Tournament, managing Competition Area, dealing with Teams and Referees. This team will be responsible for managing training sessions at the stadiums during non-match days ensuring that the teams have all the support needed before and during the training sessions. During match days you will support the preparation and management of competition areas such as dressing rooms, teams entrance tunnel and the pitch itself. Corniche Activation Project Description The Marketing Department is responsible for leading several Host Country projects that contribute to the Host Country experience and operations during the FIFA World Cup™. The department is responsible for the planning and delivery of these projects, connecting the experience with operations. Working closely with all Host Country (HC) Projects on identified interdependencies, and with all relevant external stakeholders, the department is a key contributor to the HC and overall vision of the successful delivery of a historic FIFA World Cup. During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, the Global Street Festival (GSF) will be a major event activating key hubs along the Corniche (Doha) with a celebration of global and local culture providing artistic and creative entertainment for a wide demographic of citizens, residents, and visitors in Qatar. Event Promotion Project Description You will have the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of the World Cup 2022. The overall mission of the marketing and event experience department is to develop and implement promotional concepts to drive the awareness and appeal of the Host Country, the tournament and tournament-related events in the country and the region. Fan ID Project (HCS ICT) Project Description The Host Country services IT goal is to provide a seamless, personalized, and emotional experience to all fans and visitors coming to Qatar through the Q2022 Mobile App, Fan ID Device, and an Integrated Operations Platform. The Fan ID is a required document for every ticket holder to access the stadiums and to improve the spectator’s experience. What will I do? • • • • Meet and greet, be the first point of contact for fans and visitors coming to Fan ID Service Centers. Provide fans support services in the Fan ID Service Centers while they are trying to address any issues or gather their Fan ID cards Provide support during the card delivery operations for fans waiting in the waiting/entertainment area Communicate daily updates and information to ensure a continuous improvement process for all Fan ID Service Center’s operations 7 Fan Zones Project Description Fan Zones are non-official sites where specific segments of society and football fans are provided with a customized, family-friendly, safe, and secure, festive, and exciting destination where they can enjoy tournament matches free of charge, as well as experience the hospitality and cultural identity of the Host Country Volunteers will support operations in fun zone such as spectators' management, transport operations and a group of administrative tasks FIFA Fun Fests Project Description The FIFA Fan Festival TM is known as the best place to experience the FIFA World Cup™ outside the stadiums, and as the meeting point in the Host Country for fans from all over the world to celebrate together and to enjoy the unique atmosphere. It is a powerful content, communication and promotional platform for FIFA, its stakeholders and for the Host Country. Volunteers will support operations in fun fest such as spectators' management, transport operations and a group of administrative tasks Guest Management and Protocol Project Description Guest Management & Protocol’s mission is to showcase the distinctive culture and warmth of Qatar to VIP guests. They ensure that VIP Guests have an experience they will never forget! What will I do? • • • You will be a friendly face who welcomes VIP guests. You will provide information and directions. You will assist VIP guests to their seats and answer any questions they may have. Health & Safety Project Description The Health & Safety team are responsible for assuring the health and safety of volunteers, paid staff, contractors, teams, officials, and spectators. This important role ensures the match can take place with minimal risk, allowing everyone to concentrate on the amazing spectacle ahead! What will I do? • • • You will support the team by identifying any hazards both inside and outside the venue perimeter. You will ensure escape routes are illuminated and unobstructed. You will report any health and safety incidents and escalate issues in a timely and professional manner. 8 Hospitality Project Description The Hospitality Team provide an exceptional service to VIP and Hospitality guests, ensuring they have an amazing experience to remember. What will I do? • • • You will assist Hospitality guests to find the right route to the skyboxes or lounges. You will provide a soft check on hospitality tickets, and support guests with finding their correct seat. You may be operating golf carts within the security perimeter, providing a shuttle service from the main hospitality entrance to the skyboxes and lounge entrances. Information Technology (TDO ICT) Project Description The Technical Delivery Office IT project (TDO ICT) will facilitate, support, and lead the evolution of technology platforms, tools and resources in all competition venues and training sites that will drive efficiency and engaging experience for all stakeholders in the delivery of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ What will I do? • • • • Provide basic technical support to assist with technology assets and printers as and when needed Help with any required ICT office management and technical administrative tasks. Assist with the Help Desk activities such as answering phone, helplines etc. Assist with the Venue Technology Manager in administrative activities. IT Project Description The IT team is responsible for the provision of a suite of resilient and highly available technology services in support of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. These services include information technology, telecommunications, audio & video and personal mobile radio, this complex task is to be achieved through collaboration between FIFA, Q22, host country, several local government agencies and many service providers. The IT team will be responsible for providing technical support during the tournament for all internal clients. Language Services Project Description The Language Services team are responsible for translation and interpretation services at the tournament. With so many different international club teams involved, the Languages Services Team are an essential component, ensuring communications are clear for everyone. What will I do? 9 • • • You will provide interpretation during interviews. You will ensure that members of the media have access to the simultaneous interpretation broadcast. You may act as an interpreter for doping control if required. Last Mile Project Description The Last Mile team covers the spectator pedestrian walking route from a nearby transport hub to the entrance of the stadium. The Last Mile team are also responsible for queues at transport hubs at the end of the match and help make sure everyone gets home safely. Being the first and last interaction with the spectator, the Last Mile team set the tone for the day and ensure spectators depart with a lasting impression of their amazing experience. What will I do? • • • • You will be greeting spectators and informing them about directions to/from stadium. You will create a welcoming atmosphere and assist spectators with any mobility needs. You will have lots of interaction with spectators, communicating information about restrictions/rules. You will support the management of queuing at transport hubs. Legal (Brand Protection) Project Description The legal department through the Brand Protection programme have as mission to protect the exclusive rights of FIFA’s Sponsors and licensees to use FIFA’s intellectual property (our trademarks, copyrights, designs, etc.) and to promote marketing activities in association with the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™. What will I do? Support the Brand Protection Venue Manager in protecting the rights of FIFA’s Sponsors and licensees mainly by patrolling in the area surrounding the stadium or where necessary to detect and report: • possible unauthorized use of FIFA’s trademarks (e.g., official mascot, official look, official emblem) • unauthorized sales of products by informal traders/hawkers. • any promotional/marketing activities from non-sponsor companies seeking their own brand exposure to the spectators going to the stadiums (e.g., hand out of promotional pamphlets, giveaways, etc.). • unauthorized resale of tickets. • sale of counterfeit (fake) products. Marketing Film Unit Support Project Description The Marketing media team is responsible for managing filming and photography at stadiums. What will I do? • • You will be assisting the film production team by tracking media cards and equipment. You will help set up the Film Unit room. 10 • • You will help with the filming team to shoot the right shots. You will be the link between the filming team and the editing room. Marketing Rights Delivery Project Description The Marketing team is responsible for promoting and protecting the branding rights granted to FIFA sponsors. What will I do? • • • • • The role is varied and will likely change day by day: You will sweep the venue to ensure brands associated with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 are protected. You will assist the film production team with logistics of equipment and passes. You will monitor concession stands for problems with queueing and stock levels. You will maintain stocks in drink fridges, ensuring only Coca Cola products are available. Media Operations Project Description The Media team is responsible for managing members of the media who have been selected to cover the tournament, ensuring that coverage reaches the world! What will I do? • • • • You will provide a friendly and professional welcome to the media. You will provide the first key information the media need to conduct their job efficiently. You will direct the media to key locations and reply to any queries they may have. You will ensure that the media centre and media tribunes are set up appropriately to function and resolve potential issues. Medical Services – Doping Control Project Description The Medical Services & Doping Control team provides medical services to the players, spectators, guests and members of the workforce. They also conduct the important task of doping control tests for selected players. The role involves being in close contact with players, and your professionalism is paramount. What will I do? • • You will notify and escort the athlete selected for doping control. You will stay with the athlete from the time of notification until the athlete completes the doping control process. 11 Security Project Description The Security team is responsible for the security of the venue in the lead up to and day of the match. This important role helps to ensure the safety of everyone at the stadium. What will I do? • • • • You will help manage the arrival and check-in of private security guards at the stadium. You will help distribute and collect operation equipment such radios. You will manage the break times for the security guards. You will support the security manager at the venue to ensure the safety of everyone at the stadium. Spectator Services Project Description Spectator Services performs a wide range of services in the heart of the action! Based at the stadiums, this team provides wayfinding and information, validate tickets, and assist spectators with finding their seats. The Spectator Services team also operates information points and has lots of interaction with excited fans! What will I do? • • • You will help to ensure all spectators feel welcomed. You will provide all the information and assistance they need to have an enjoyable and memorable experience. You will help build the excitement of the event through your many interactions with the spectators. Sustainability Project Description The Sustainability team will support projects such as: • An anti-discrimination Programme focused on matches • Coordinating resolution of human rights grievances lodged by event attendees • Inspection of all services and infrastructure along the journey from transport hubs through to seats for disabled and people with limited mobility. Resolving obstacles/problems in cooperation with many functional areas. Conduct satisfaction surveys of relevant attendees. • Inspecting outdoor designated smoking area (ODSA) locations, set-up, and coordinate fixes. Inspect the enforcement of the tobacco-free procedure and ODSAs correctly by security and other partners. • Implement sustainability awareness raising activities • Monitor air quality, check that any Tournament-related air emissions are properly controlled. • Check stadium are operating according to their environmental management plan covering noise, air quality, water, energy, and waste. Coordinate any fixing of problems with FA’s • Host events for attendees, local communities and others covering sustainability topics, e.g., showcasing sport as an activity that facilitates respect for diversity. • Collect data for the post-FWC22 Sustainability Report 12 Team and Referee Services Project Description The Team Services is acting as a single point of contact and centralized information center for the Participating Member Associations (PMAs) & Referees during the tournament. They are also responsible for operations at Team Base Camps, including the Team Base Camp Hotel and Team Base Camp Training site as well as Referee Base Camp and Referee HQ. What will I do? • • • • • • • Assisting during arrivals and departures of Teams and Refereeing Delegations. Helping in preparation of all meetings and activities for Refereeing delegation Helping with translation and communication with Referee and teams’ staff and local representatives. Assistance with any hotel related tasks. Preparation of dressing rooms, sports equipment, etc. at the Stadiums on Match Day and Training sites during daily training sessions. Helping Team Base Camp Coordinators and kit managers with sports equipment, preparation of dressing rooms. Assistance to manage Media on Regular Training Days Ticketing Project Description The Ticketing team is responsible for assisting spectators with any ticket related matters. What will I do? • • • • You will inform the public about certain ticketing policies. You will help spectators resolve any issues with their tickets. You will direct spectators to the correct gates. You will help spectators resolve any issues with their seats, such as blocked views or broken seats. 13 Transport Project Description The Transport Team is responsible for transport operations on site at each of the stadiums, team base camp hotels, training sites, referee camp hotel and camp training site, International Broadcasting Center/Main Media Center, Airport, and all the official FIFA hotels. On site transport operations include ensuring that 30 operational functions such as security, workforce and catering can access the venue and arrive safely, including the athletes, referees, spectators, press, broadcasters and other guest operations and stakeholders. Transport operations at each venue consists of access to the venue, managing client parking carparks, load zones and staging areas. There will also be a transport desk at each client hotel and in stadium to share transport knowledge to FIFA constituent groups. What will I do? At Stadiums: • • • • • Provides assistance to ensure the smooth operation of transport load zones and staging areas for cars and buses. Liaises with the client groups as required to assist them on arrival to and departure from the venue. Check vehicle access credentials to inform parking privilege and area In un-marked parking areas, the staff will direct vehicles to park in the most efficient manner whilst maintaining adequate aisle widths for traffic flow. Assists Supervisor in making sure staging areas are well. organized within the area and cars/buses can enter and exit smoothly. At the Airport: • • • • One of the main tasks of the Q22 volunteers’ team is to provide support and information at the key touch points at the airport, such as passport control, baggage hall, arrival and departures hall and load zones. Meet and greet FIFA Clients Groups at the welcome desk and designated points at the airport and help with any required office management and administrative tasks. Information & language support. Assistance to passengers with reduced mobility, when required. At Hotels, team base camps and training sites: • • • • Sharing information to FIFA constituent groups about transport service levels. Liaison with venue load zone attendants, staging area attendants, parking attendants and Staff. Provide instruction and required information/documentation for drivers. Using gained knowledge of event to provide key and relevant information to clients. TV Operations Project Description 14 Broadcast TV operations team is responsible for delivering the required services and infrastructure to the Host broadcaster and Media Rights Licensees to ensure the world class standard of TV production, TV services and content output of the competition. It`s also responsible for operating the International Broadcast Center that is the center of television, radio, mobile and new media operations for the Competitions, serving as the telecommunications hub for all national and international connectivity. What will I do? • • • Support any set up related activities in IBC and broadcast areas in stadiums. Assist TV operations venue manager in daily operational activities. Assist host broadcaster and Media Rights licensees in wayfinding around the venue. Be the first point of contact for host broadcaster and Media Rights licensees at the Media tribune, Mixed zone, or other broadcast areas in case they experience any problems, have specific needs or requests. Inform TV operations venue manager upon receiving such information. Venue Management Project Description The Venue management team is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, arbitrating, and managing the event planning and integration of all functional areas within the stadiums. Prepare for operational readiness. Manage onsite operations on Match Days. Work in close cooperation with FIFA, public authorities and other stakeholders involved. Workforce Management Project Description The Workforce team are responsible for the welfare of paid staff and volunteers at the venue. Welcoming and taking attendance of volunteers and staff, the Workforce team will help to ensure everyone feels excited and prepared for their shift. What will I do? • • • Your role will be varied, but you will support with a number of areas including uniform distribution, welcome and check-in, trouble shooting and escalation of any issues the volunteers may have. You will play a big part in ensuring there is a smooth flow of volunteers through the workforce break area, and you will keep spirits high by supporting fun activities such as quizzes and treasure hunts. Once the main volunteer check-in has taken place, you may be re-deployed to support other operational work areas who require support. Workers Welfare Project Description The expectation from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ event organisers and the State of Qatar is that all stakeholders deliver the highest levels of service to fans, visitors, dignitaries, VIPs and players and to the workforce 15 delivering the operations and infrastructure. Therefore, the key objectives of the Workers Welfare Project are to assure the welfare of all workers contributing to the FWC 2022™ and protect Qatar’s reputational position in relation to Human Rights. The Workers’ Welfare Team (Staff and Volunteers) will monitor workforce treatment, working and living conditions and contract specifics during pre-tournament, tournament and post-tournament across all projects and venues to ensure that contractors adhere to the Workers’ Welfare Standards. The Workers Welfare will introduce a robust programme consisting of audits & inspections, health & safety, and compliance & enforcement measures to ensure that non-compliances are identified and rectified in a timely manner. 16
