This course is designed to complement and broaden the student’s knowledge of the
essential principles and concepts of management. The student will be given the
opportunity to learn about the concept of strategic management, human resource
management, organizational behavior, motivation, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
All of which will help the student to learn the skills required to be a good leader and
manager.
Learn about leadership and the differences between leaders and managers.
Understand HR concepts and how to be a good HR manager
Understand the concepts of Strategy and planning with ability to conduct a simple
business plan.
Learn to manage employees’ behaviors and organization culture and the right culture for
the organization success and progress.
Learn how to communicate effectively and use formal and informal communication
effectively.
Learn how to manage in tough times and to create new startups using new technology.
CLO1: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the strategic planning
process, various theories of motivation and leadership, managing organization’s
workforce, and the staffing process.
CLO2: Absorb and understand principles involved in managing change as well as
principles involved in managing conflict and stress.
CLO3: Applying theoretical framework of leadership, motivation, and
entrepreneurship.
CLO4: The use of strategic planning, staffing, and motivation.
CLO5: Identify, analyze the importance of individuals’ behavior within
organizations.
CLO6: Analyzing and interpreting the impact of strategic planning on organizational
performance, and the effect of motivation on individuals’ behavior.

motivating and improving human resources.
CLO8: Solving business behavioral-problems, identifying areas for improvement,
and take good/accurate decisions.

Cheating and Plagiarism
You are expected to be in the classroom on time. If it is necessary for you to arrive up to 5minutes-late to class, please enter the room quietly to minimize disruption. However, 3 times
of late arrivals are considered ONE absence for record purposes. If you are absent from a
class session, it is your responsibility to become fully familiar with any information
presented during that session.
A student whose absence exceeds (15%) of lectures will be dismissed according to the
university's regulations.
You have the responsibility to contribute toward the learning, expected contributions include
preparing the topics, arriving to class with assignments completed to the best of your ability,
entering into class discussion and posing questions about course material you do not
adequately understand. Assignments are to be submitted next lecture from which they are
given.
Late submission without a valid excuse or a technical malfunction will not be considered for
grading purposes.
While attendance will indirectly be considered in the determination of the participation
mark, it will be used to influence the grade in marginal situations. Absence from any exam
without a valid excuse will be recorded as zero.
Students are expected to do their academic work without unauthorized help of any kind.
Cheating, plagiarism or any other proven academic irregularity must be reported by the
faculty member concerned to the Academic Disciplinary Committee for appropriate action.
