The Wolves and Trees in the Wolves forest
In Translation: Translation: Wolf Forest and Basket Forest, Robber Forest by Kenji
Miyawaza, the Wolves and Trees in Wolves forest would give the best narration of the scenes
from that story. During the narration, they would want to take the narration through their fire and
explain more because they seem to be valuing it more. The Wolves and Trees in the Wolves
forest would portray themselves as welcoming and loving throughout the narration compared to
those other forests; they will emphasize how they welcomed the farmers' children and even fed
them. They will also portray the other forests as thieves since they took the farmers' possessions
without the farmers' consent. During the narration, the Wolves and Trees in the Wolves forest
will portray the interdependence that is there between the farmers and the forests, considering the
on and off summer and winter. They will also relate the farmers' inversion as one that made them
realize each other as forests.
The point of view would then be their behaviour and actions compared to the behaviour
of other forests. The Wolves and Trees in the Wolves forest in the narration will show that they
are the best of all the other forests. They will then bring in the issue of reliability since the
farmers contact them first before the others. They will point out the overwhelming care they
portrayed when they shared a fire with the farmers' children. They will paint the Black forest and
the Robber forest as thieves after they stole the farmers' farm tools and millet respectively. They

will also point to the Robber forest as the worst in the list after it denies stealing millet. The
Wolves and the Trees in Wolves forest will focus more on comparisons in their narration.
Nevertheless, they will identify Mt. Iwate as the superhero since it made sure the farmers' millet
was returned.
The feeling of the Wolves and Trees in the Wolves forest towards the farmer will be
positive since they liked the "awamochi" that the farmer was giving out to them. They will have
both positive and negative attitude towards the Black forest and the Robber forest. Negative
because it was because of them that the farmer suspected them of stealing. And positive because
they had now recognized each other after the arrival of the farmer. Towards Mt. Iwate, the
Wolves and Trees in the Wolves forest would have that feeling of gratitude and respect, and this
is due to Mt. Iwate's actions of kindness to the farmers.
The Wolves and Trees in the Wolves forest's motivation would be the "awamochi" since
it made them pledge loyalty to the farmers. Their other motivation would be the aspect of coexistence. They will be motivated by the love and care that comes along with the co-existence.
The other motivation will be the truth and standing on their ground. The Wolves and Trees in the
Wolves forest believe in honest comments and talks. The interdependence between them
together with the farmers will also be the hugest motivating factor. Wolves depend on the
Wolves forest for habitat, while farmers depend on the wolves for information and intelligence.
