Nermeen C. Alapa Lesson 1: Oral Quiz FPE101 – Tt4 Sir Randy Polancos 1. #3 of the Six articles of Faith of Islam is “Belief in All of His Books”. With the Idea that all other books where compromised except the Qur’an, then all who believe in them where believing in vain. How does this affect your treatment of others (not Muslim)? As a Muslim, I am a true believer of the Holy Qur’an, and even if other people believe in the books of Tawrah, Zabur, and Injil, I do not condemn their beliefs, nor will I change my treatment towards them. Since I am a believer of The Holy Qur’an, I am a believer of peace, and thus I will strive for it through respecting others’ beliefs amidst our differences. I can unite with them because I believe that these differences are not barriers to establishing a peaceful life with them. There is no point of arguing whoever is right or wrong because we all have our own rights in manifesting our own beliefs and hold on to these to help us lead a life towards paradise. 2. #4 of the Six articles of Faith of Islam is “Belief in all His Messengers or Prophets”. How can you believe on someone whom you have not heard a single word of he was saying? How can you understand those people who strictly followed the teaching of these prophets? How does this affect your treatment of them? To believe the in Allah’s (S.W.T) Messengers and Prophets is to have faith in them and their teachings. Even if I have not heard a single word from them, I have faith in their words and I will obey them without questions because they interpret the words of Allah (S.W.T). I can understand those people who strictly follows the teachings of the prophets because I, too, believe in them, and it is our faith or lack of faith that defines our belief or disbelief.
