VINCENT VAN GOGH
STARRY NIGHT
Starry Night is possibly Vincent van Gogh's most famous painting. Van Gogh painted Starry Night with oil paint
on a 73.0 x 92.0 cm canvas while he was in an Asylum at SaintRemy in 1889. He was a Dutch post
impressionist who was expressive and spontaneous and used bright colours, broad oil brushstrokes and emotive
subject matter.
