poster and submit it to your science teacher.

Choose a challenge
• KS3 (Y7-9) Challenge 2 – DNA candy (make sure to keep a picture for
proof before you eat it  )
• KS4 (Y10-11) Challenge 1 – Paper plate mitosis
• KS5 (Y12-13) Beef burgers or bug burgers? Evaluate the use of insects
as a protein source

Design Mitosis
We used pipe cleaners and paper plates to demonstrate mitosis in a
very basic way!
Challenge 2: CANDY DNA MODEL – EDIBLE
SCIENCE EXPERIMENT
This Candy DNA model is a great way learn about the structure of DNA.
Did you know that 99.9% of the DNA of each person is the same? It’s
just that tiny 0.1% that makes us all different! Isn’t that amazing?
Humans also share 60% of their DNA with fruit flies which is even more
incredible!
