C. New Lesson
1. Motivation
The teacher will show a real clock.
What is this class?
What is the use of a clock?
2. Presentation
This morning we will learn how to tell and write correct time using analog and digital clock.
3. Modelling
I have here a clock and I will show to you how to use this clock correctly. A clock has a short and long
hand. The short hand is also called “hour hand” and the long hand is also called “minute hand”. For
example the hour hand points on the number 8 and the minute hand is pointing on the number 5.
What time is it? So let’s going to know that. Since the hour hand is on the number 8, automatically
let’s going to copy the hour hand which is 8. Minute hand is count by five that means numbers from
1-12 is equivalent to 60. So let’s count 1-5 by 5 or just multiply 5X5=25. Therefore, the correct time is
8:25. (The teacher will going to give another example)
