Pages 8, 9: • Worksheets for students hypothesis and observations Colorful Celery Experiment Materials: • Celery (2 -3 stalks for more ) • Water • Food coloring • Clear tall cups or jars for each celery stalk Colorful Celery Experiment Step 1: Fill each cup/jar with water. Add a different color of food coloring to each jar. Dark colors work best. Step 2: Clean stalks of celery. Slice about an inch off the bottom of each stalk. And make a small vertical cut up the stalk. Step 3: Stand each stalk into its own cup/jar. Step 4: Let the celery sit in the food coloring for a few days. Make observations.
