EXPLORE:
PROBLEM: Does the usage of plastic affect life on Earth?
HYPOTHESIS:
MATERIAL REQUIRED& EXPERIMENT:
(Conduct any one activity given below and also the Survey)
Activity 1:
Materials needed:
1. Fenugreek seeds (We can use fenugreek seeds as they grow fast. Any other seeds can also
be used)
2. Two container to grow plants
3. Potting soil
4. News paper
5. Plastic bag
Method:
1. Take potting soil in two containers. Put thirty seeds in each container. Put only a very little
amount of soil on top to make the plant come out of soil faster.
2. Cover one container with newspaper and another one with clear plastic bag.
3. Place both of them at the same sunny place. Water both of them every day.
4. Observe after a week’s time.
OR
Activity 2:
Store equal amount of tap water in a glass jar and in a single use water bottle for 2 weeks in
normal room temperature. Test the pH strength of the water in both cases using a pH paper and
compare the results and arrive at conclusions.
Materials Required:
Glass Jar, Single use water bottle, tap water, pH paper.
