FUGRO C30 MARINE GEOTECHNICAL DRILL Fugro’s C30 is an industry leading geotechnical drill system that operates in offshore marine environments. It’s modular and compact design enables safe and efficient mobilisation globally and offers cost-effective flexible operations as it is compatible with an extensive range of vessels. REMOTE MARINE CONSTRUCTION With a growing global demand for remote geotechnical services driven by increased marine construction activity, the need to deliver high quality geo-data captured by drill systems integrated into vessels of opportunity is significantly growing. Continuing to deliver the highest safety standards, quality and efficiency required to operate in these harsh environments is a key requirement in offshore projects. SAFE AND EFFICIENT DRILLING OPERATIONS The C30 is designed to be compact and portable with all components of the geotechnical drill system able to fit withinstandard commercial shipping containers for efficient mobilisation. It is compatible with a wide range of specialist downhole testing and sampling equipment, from Fugro’s WISON©MkV ECO DRIVE cone penetration testing system, push sampling tools or wireline coring spreads (including piggybacking up to Geobor-S size) to downhole geotechnical testing and geophysical logging tools (including high pressure dilatometer, logging-while-drilling and wireline logging). BENEFITS ■ ■ ■ ■ Fast delivery and mobilisation as the drill system is containerised allowing it to be safely shipped globally Increased operational safety through an automated system built to the latest specifications and safety standards for remote and autonomous operations and monitoring High-quality insights delivered through a single drill unit capturing accurate Geo-data and soil samples for your project Improved operational efficiency due to the large compensator stroke of 4m as well as compatibility with a range of specialist downhole testing and sampling equipment FUGRO.COM 1 C30 MARINE GEOTECHNICAL DRILL This enables flexible and effective operations as the C30 can be integrated and used in combination with an extensive range of tools, on vessels of opportunity. The tool and pipe handling system embedded in the C30 allows hand free operations reducing manual handling and improving functional safety and efficient operations through its automated capability. The large capacity bagless mud system with automated mixing installed in the C30 also reduces manual handling and can deliver accurate and consistent polymer or bentonite. THE FUGRO DIFFERENCE FEATURES The soil samples and geo-data captured are thoroughly analysed at our in-house laboratories to determine design parameters. In combination with an extensive track record as a leading provider of marine geotechnical services, we continuously develop our geotechnical tools and technology to deliver reliable marine drilling operations for a safe and liveable world. ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ Modular and compact system for efficient mobilisation Flexible integration with range of local vessels of opportunity Compliant with latest DnV Standards for Drilling Facilities Semi-automated pipe and tool handling equipment ensuring safe drilling operations for downhole and seabed sampling and testing Built in shallow gas mitigation Remote logging and integrated drilling management system Bagless mud system. We deliver a comprehensive analysis of your site using innovative technology developed by our global team of geotechnical experts. The C30 incorporates years of Fugro’s geotechnical drilling experience, strong HSSE culture and a high appetite for innovation and cutting-edge technologies. Acquiring samples through borehole drilling and sampling, geophysical logging and pressure metre testing, our geotechnical testing services accurately quantifies ground conditions at your project site.
