Examples:
1. One thing I really enjoyed about Squid Game was that it provided strong
commentary on capitalist values. For example, the harsh nature of the
betrayal between characters to survive is a clear metaphor of how we
treat each other in order to stay alive in this world. This accuracy was
very refreshing and something I enjoyed seeing so ruthlessly and
honestly done.
2. Another thing I thought was great about Squid Game was the main
antagonist character (Oh Il-nam) and how well the actor did at
portraying a person I really despised. I remember how deeply I hated the
character and how much he bothered me throughout the series. As
always, this is a sign of fantastic acting, as I really bought into the
character portrayed.
3. One of my favourite things about Squid Game was the cinematography
and how well the colours were chosen in the shots. Many of the scenes
had clear and vibrant colours which juxtaposed each other very nicely,
like the use of red and green in the difference of uniforms. This made
the simple act of watching pleasant, even before any of the great acting
and plot.
