We all moan and groan about the loss of the quality of life through the destruction of our ecology,
and yet each one of us, in our own little comfortable ways, contributes daily to that destruction. It's
time for us to pay attention to our mother. Last few weeks,the students of BSED-Biology
conducted a clean up drive at the brgy.hall of baranggay Fatima,General Santos city.We started in
cleaning with a joy in our heart in helping our community.We clean the surroundings.Even we felt
tired at that time,we still smile because we believe that in this simple way,we can help a lot in
protecting our environment.The planet is changing. We need everyone's help in changing it for the
better. There are a lot of things that affect our planet in a bad way but the good news is that
everyone can help to reduce them. The experience was great and we had fun doing the activity
called "Clean-up Drive" at Barangay Fatima. I realized the value of our environment there. We can
contribute to the prevention of climate change and global warming by segregating our waste.
During the activity, we built friendship with our group. It gave many advantages to the youth. I
think there will be another activity like this. Sitti Alyssa E. The officials at Barangay Fatima
welcomed me with open arms. Some programs were put in place to build a clean environment. The
Solid Waste Management Program helped a lot in the development of the place. As a youth, you
are doing something for the benefit of the world and cleaning the surroundings feels good. Jessel
Joy Gomez said it was fun to clean the surroundings of Barangay Fatima. I had a great time with my
groupmates. We didn't pay much attention to the weather or the sweat because of the joy that we
felt. Doing something for mother earth was fun. We saved Mother Nature from its mass distraction
by doing something. Clean-up drive may cause total change. During the time of conducting our own
way or saving nature, I realized that we should be the ones to solve this problem since we made
the earth reach this unrealistic phenomena. We cleaned the surrounding of brgy. Fatima and I were
very happy with this accomplishment.
