Reproductive 2. maternal 3. New-born 4. child and 5. adolescent health Launched by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare(MoHFW) in February 2013 under the National Health Mission(NHM). Guided by central tenets of equity, universal care, entitlement and accountability. Significance of +A Including adolescence Linking maternal to child health to reproductive health, family planning, adolescent health, HIV, gender, preconception and prenatal diagnostics techniques Linking home and community based services to facility based care Ensuring linkages, referrals and counter referrals among health facilities at primary secondar and tertiary level AIM OF RMNCH+A To reach the maximum number of people in the remote area of country through 1. continuum services 2. constant innovation and 3. routine monitoring system. GOALS The 12th five year plan has defined the national health outcomes and the three goals that are relevant to RMNCH+A strategies approach as follows Reduction of Infant Mortality Rate(IMR) to 25 per 1000 live births by 2017 Reduction of Maternal Mortality Ratio(MMR) to 100 per 10000 live births by 2017 Reduction of Total Fertility Rate (TFR) to 2.1 by 2017 TARGETS increase facility equipped foe perinatal care increase proportion of all birth in government and private institutions increase pregnant mother receiving ANC increase mother and new born receiving PNC increase deliveries conducted by skilled birth attendant(SBA) increase exclusive breast feeding rates Decrease prevalence of under weight in under 5 children increase coverage of 3 doses of DTP increase ORS in under 5 children with diarrhoea decrease unmet need of family planning method among couple increase meet need for family planning methods decrease Anaemia in adolescent girls and boys decrease proportion of total fertility contributed by adolescents decrease child sex ratio in 0-6 years INTERVENTION
