Teaching and learning in higher education has gone through considerable changes since the time of the ancient and medieval universities. Later with the emergence of the concept and practices of a societal system, it evolved into organized efforts made by specialized agencies of the society viz. schools, Development of pedagogy in Kazakhstan • • questions concerning pedagogy were in the works of such thinkers: Korkyt-ata, Al-Farabi, Zhusup Balasaguni, Khoja Ahmed Yasawi; problems of ethnopedagogy: Sh.Valikhanov, I.Altynsarin, A.Kunanbayev • the beginning of a new development of pedagogical thought after the times of stagnation (1970-1990); • • the emergence of pedagogical science (1920-1930); the development of pedagogy as a science on the path of democracy (from 1991 to the present). Tazhibaev Tulegen Tazhibaevich (1910-1962) A significant contribution to the development of pedagogical scientific schools of Kazakhstan was made by scientists-teachers of KazGU named after al-Farabi. The intensive development of pedagogical science at the university began in the 40s with the opening of the Department of Pedagogy. A pioneer in this direction can be called Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR T.T.Tazhibayev. Tazhibaev Tulegen Tazhibaevich In the period from 1948 to 1957, being the rector of Kaznu, he contributed to the opening of fulltime postgraduate studies for the training of national scientific personnel in pedagogy, history of pedagogy and psychology. In the fundamental scientific work "On the history of the development of pedagogy and psychology at the end of the XIX century in Kazakhstan", T.T. Tazhibaev wrote about the systemic relationship and continuity of psychological and pedagogical ideas of traditional "folk pedagogy" and pedagogy based on the results of scientific research of great scientists and educators — Abai, Ch.Valikhanov and Y. Altynsarina. Tabyldiev Adibay Tabyldievich (born 02.02.1926) Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor A.T. Tabyldiev makes a lot of efforts in this direction. He is one of the authoritative scientists who has made an invaluable contribution to the development of Kazakh ethnopedagogy and the introduction of its ideas into the education and upbringing of the younger generation and the training of teaching staff. From 1968 to 1980 he worked as the head of the editorial office of the language and literature of the Main Editorial Office of the Kazakh Soviet Encyclopedia at the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR. Since 1980, he has been working as a teacher at the Department of "General and Ethnic Pedagogy" of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. A. Tabyldiev has been researching Kazakh ethnopedagogy since 1967, has published books on ethnopedagogic topics: 1. "The Origins of education" (1989); 2. "Folk pedagogy and education" (1992); 3. "Legal education in Kazakh ethnopedagogy" (2003) Pedagogy of the 80s in Kazakhstan In the 80s, research was expanding on a new branch of pedagogical science - Higher school Pedagogy Pedagogy of the 80s in Kazakhstan Associate Professor Z.U. Zhantekeeva is developing a full theoretical course in collaboration with well–known Moscow scientists and teachers Yu.K. Babansky and T.A. Ilyina, and the first textbook for students "Pedagogy of Higher School" is published. Postgraduate student Z.A. Isaeva defends her PhD thesis on the topic "Formation of professional readiness of university students for research activities with schoolchildren" and her textbook "Preparation of University students for research work in pedagogy" is published. Berzhanov Kartbai Bekemovich Kartbai Bekemovich Berzhanov (December 20, 1924, Saykuduk, Akzhaiksky district of West Kazakhstan region — February 23, 1975, Almaty) was a Kazakh Soviet scientist, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (1965), professor (1967). Kartbai Bekemovich is the author of the first textbook for university students in the Kazakh language "History of Pedagogy". The main direction of Berzhanov's research works is educational and educational work in pre-revolutionary Kazakhstan and public, cultural and educational activities of teachers of Kazakhstan during the Soviet period (1917-1941). Conclusion Teaching has over several centuries of development transformed from a simple educational function into a complex profession. It is seen today as a very specialized function involving pedagogic principles and practices designed to provide unique service to meet the educational needs of the individual and of society. Initially the pedagogic principles and practices were mainly based on casual observations to more organized observations, and generalization of experiences, and later based on philosophical and psychological postulates and theories that emerged during the last two millennia.
