Punnet Square Activity
Mr. Cameron has recently opened and exotic rabbit farm where he is trying to breed hybrid rabbit
containing a variation of tail length and eye size between two varieties of rabbit.
The traits in question are type of tail (long curly tails as recessive or short straight tails as dominant) and
eye size (big eyes as recessive and small eyes as dominant).
Complete the punnet square as well as draw an image of the two parents showing their phenotypic
features, as well as labeling their genotypes.
You may use which ever letters you choose for the alleles
just make sure the capital and the lowercase are not similar,
Eg don’t use Ss rather use Ee
Please also include the probability of having a complete
heterozygous individual for both traits.
Male rabbit is
-homozygous recessive for eyes and
-heterozygous for tail type
Bonus points: if you can draw a hybrid offspring with its genotype.
Female Rabbit -heterozygous
for eye size
-homozygous
recessive for tail
