Traditionally, Rangoli is an art of decoration drawn on the floor or the entrances of
homes. It is thought to bring good luck, prosperity on the house and in the family, and to
welcome guests. Some mothers in India do this activity every morning, or on a special
festive occasion like Diwali, Onam, and Pongal.
The Taj Mahal is considered to be the greatest architectural achievement in the whole
range of Indo-Islamic architecture. Its recognised architectonic beauty has a rhythmic
combination of solids and voids, concave and convex and light shadow; such as arches
and domes further increases the aesthetic aspect.
The bronze girl was made using the lost-wax casting technique and shows the
expertise of the people in making bronze works during that time.
