Location-targeting
The Sports Betting & Gaming market is thriving.
The challenge for brands big and small is how to entice players with real-time,
dynamic content and increase wallet-share. We’re working with global brands
like Paddy Power Betfair, 888.com, Oddschecker, Novomatic, Rush Street and
Reflex Gaming to help them engage their audiences across every device and
channel.
We understand how crucial segmentation and customer profiling is to your
marketing teams. It’s what empowers them to send personalised, relevant
content that resonates with your audience.
We’re optimising our clients’ registration processes too, getting players set up
with an account and placing their first bet. Beyond that, we’re helping them to
increase their conversion rates and recover abandoned betting slips. And we’re
even helping them to fend off competitors by fostering brand loyalty and
reducing player churn.
We understand what’s at stake for your brand.
Xtremepush represents the next generation of customer engagement software.
We are more than service providers; we are strategic partners, working
alongside you to develop use cases and execute your business goals.
We’ve put together this guide to demystify multichannel engagement and give
you a sense of what’s possible. We’re ready to work with you every step of the
way. Within 12 weeks we’ll have you launching intelligent and dynamic
multichannel campaigns at speed and scale.

In-app messaging
In-app messaging is a great way to reach and
engage users while they are interacting with your
app. It can be as simple as welcoming them to your
app and giving them a compelling reason to accept
notifications or introducing them to new features. It
can also serve as a prompt to users to complete
their journey to purchase. In-app messaging is best
used at contextually relevant moments.

To guarantee a successful messaging campaign, a/b
testing is key to helping you pick the campaign that
will deliver the highest ROI. This essentially means
testing out different message variations to measure
the impact on a variety of metrics, including
conversion rates, click-through rates and revenue
generated.

Push notifications are a powerful way of bringing
users back into your app or increasing engagement.
This form of messaging is much more direct and
therefore must provide real user value to the
customer. By providing valuable messages that help
improve the customer experience, brands can
increase retention and loyalty.
Timing and relevance is of vital importance for push
notifications. Research shows that if a customer finds
a brand’s push messaging intrusive, they are much
more likely to delete the app. By targeting the right
customer segment with a relevant, personalised
message at the right time, the click-through rate
(CTR) and level of app engagement will be much
higher.
Just 2% of web traffic converts on their first visit. Web push is the most effective, and the
quickest, way to remarket to the other 98% and drive conversions, even after they have they
have left your website. It doesn’t require an app and delivers to both mobile devices and
desktops.
How does web push work?
When a user visits your website they are asked if they would like to opt-in to receive
notifications. Once they have given permission, you can start sending web push notifications
to their device. Typically, 15-20% of monthly unique visitors opt in.

What is the value of web push?
As the user has given permission to be contacted on this channel, engagement rates are
usually quite good (20% avg. across all industries). Opt-in rates are excellent as the user only
has to click “allow” when the question is asked. With Xtremepush, you can also customise
your value exchange to increase the number of opt-ins.
Web and app inboxes can be valuable additions to your multichannel strategy, particularly
when it comes to engaging website traffic or app users that have not opted in for push
notifications of any kind.
It functions similarly to an email inbox and allows you to target all of your web traffic or app
users. When a message is delivered to the app inbox, a badge appears on the users app icon,
prompting the user to click and further driving engagement.

Web pop-up is a channel that offers an average conversion rate of almost 10%. It is an
eye-catching, real-time method of engaging with users as they browse your site. The delivery
of a pop-up can be triggered in a variety of ways, e.g., by a real-time event (player has logged
in or a deposit has been placed) or when a user is about to navigate away from the page
(a.k.a “exit intent”).
This channel is typically used to offer specific odds based on a player’s previous betting
behaviour and to collect email addresses. Many casinos use a “login pop-up” to analyse which
particular sport a player is viewing when they login. They can then automatically add that
player to the appropriate segment.
No opt-in is required for a user to receive a pop-up.

For many sportsbooks, email remains a crucial channel within their wider digital engagement
strategy. Email inboxes are crowded however, with brands across every vertical vying for
attention. The key to standing out is personalising your messages and intelligently
segmenting your audiences so that the email content you send is individually relevant and
adds value to the customer’s experience.

With an average open rate of 94%, SMS cannot be overlooked as an engagement channel. It’s
an opportunity to connect with your audience directly and add value to their experience of
your brand.
As part of your overall multichannel marketing strategy, it allows you to engage with offline
users and those who have not opted in for push notifications.

Message
Engage your customers on the social platforms that matter most to them. Personalise every
interaction, create better customer experiences and drive revenue.
Certain messengers, for example Facebook, allow you to share rich content, including images,
videos and CTAs, with your users. It is a particularly useful channel for providing customer
support.
