Critical Lens Worksheet
Directions: This worksheet is to assist you in creating a comprehensive critical lens essay. Essay must
have a minimum of four paragraphs. Your objective is to: interpret the quote, disagree or agree with it,
connect it to appropriate literary works, and provide examples that support your interpretation through the
application of literary devices. Remember, the critical lens essay reflects the analysis of literature through
the application of literary devices (i.e. conflict, theme, setting, characterization) in a well-formed essay.
1. Introduction:
