Mathematics may be found in practically every aspect of life, including the natural world around us and
the technology we use. Numeracy is very important to learn about because it is existed everywhere as well as
literacy. Picture shows that they found a gold that has awesome number which is 1.6180. Even in the mining
there is mathematics on it. 1.6180 is the value of goden ratio.It's called "golden" because it has a lot of lovely
mathematical characteristics. This irrational number is sometimes abbreviated as “phi”, after the Greek sculptor
Phidias, who employed this attractive ratio in his sculptures, which were frequently made of gold.

Our schools emphasize literacy and numeracy as two of the most fundamental life skills. Literacy and numeracy
abilities are essential for a person's capacity to completely grow as an individual, live a fulfilling and happy life, and
actively participate in society.The picture shows a teacher teaches her students. Teachers are the one who taught us

literacy and numeracy learning. With that, the classroom is interactive if the students know how to read, write or to solve
problem solving.

Learning literacy and numeracy is everywhere. Not only in school or in the house but also in the
community. Picture shows teaching literacy and numeracy in our community. Everyone has the right to teach
young people in our community.In order to nurture and encourage reading and numeracy, communities in which
children and young people live and grow play an important role. There are more possibilities to share best
practices and establish supporting networks when schools are connected to one another and forge strong
linkages with the larger community. Harnessing the community's and other agencies' collaborative efforts has
the potential to improve coherence and a coordinated approach to the national endeavor to improve reading and
numeracy learning experiences and results.

1. Why is it needed for the children and youth to learn literacy and numeracy?
Literacy and numeracy are essential skills for all young people. When we communicate with one
another, we apply the basic abilities of reading and numeracy in nearly every aspect of our life. When we
follow signs and directions, when we are at work or spending recreational time, when we try to make sense
of the quantity of information and data accessible through the media, and when we use conventional printed
forms or the internet and digital media, are in charge of our life.For individuals and society as a whole,
mastering literacy and numeracy abilities has numerous social, economic, and health advantages. If we are
to secure employment and economic development, we need young people who can use mathematical
expertise in an increasing set of financial, technological, academic, cultural, and other circumstances.As part
of basic education and as a springboard for lifelong learning. The development of reading and numeracy
skills is essential for improving human capacities and obtaining a variety of other rights. In summary,
reading and numeracy provide numerous implications for people, families, communities, and society as a
whole.
2. How important are the Lesson Plans and Instructional Materials in teaching?
A lesson plan is a tool that a teacher uses each day to establish what students will learn, how the
lesson will be delivered, and how learning will be assessed. Lesson plans provide instructors with a clear
structure to follow throughout each lesson, allowing them to be more productive in the classroom. While,

making instructional materials is crucial since it may help students focus and communicate with one another.
Instructional materials aid the teaching/learning process by displaying information necessary for the
acquisition of knowledge and skills. It is impossible to overestimate the importance of instructional
materials in the teaching/learning process. They enable students to engage in self-study or independent
study and encourage them to do so.
