Cleaning and Disinfection Protocol
Cleaning Protocol
Recommended Cleaning Agent:
Warm water (40°C/104°F maximum)
Mildly alkaline (10% soap solution; 40°C/104°F
maximum)
Operating Table
1. Put operating table into the horizontal position and
raise the operating table up to the highest position.
2. Turn off the power.
3. Use a piece of lint-free clean cloth to wipe off the
dust.
4. Use a piece of lint-free clean cloth dipped into the
chosen detergent to clean the surface of the operat
ing table.
5. Use a piece of lint-free clean cloth dipped into the
clean water to wipe the detergent off the surface.
6. Use a piece of dry clean cloth to wipe the surface.
Table Pad
1. Remove the pad.
2. Clean the pad with a wet cloth and wipe the pad dry.
3. Before installing the pad, make sure the pad and its
Velcro straps are dry.
Disinfection Protocol
Operating Table
Disinfect the equipment as required in your hospital’s
servicing schedule. It is recommended to clean the
equipment before disinfection. Always dilute and use
disinfectants according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Recommended Disinfectant:
Glutaraldehyde (2%) Liquid
CIDEX® OPA Liquid
Hydrogen peroxide, 3% Liquid
Sodium hypochlorite bleach 0.5% Liquid
PDI Super Sani-Cloth® Germicidal Disposable Wipe
VIRAGUARD Hospital Surface Disinfectants Towelettes Wipe
1. Turn off the power.
2. Use a piece of lint-free clean cloth dipped into the
chosen disinfectant to disinfect the surface of the op
erating table.
3. Use a piece of lint-free clean cloth dipped into the
clean water to wipe the disinfectant off the surface.
4. Use a piece of dry clean cloth to wipe the surface.
Table Pad
Do not use the disinfectants containing alcohol to
clean the pad. Disinfectants containing aldehydes are
recommended.
CAUTION:
Before installing the pad, make sure that the table top
is dry.
Before cleaning and disinfecting your equipment,
please read carefully the ‘Care and Cleaning’ chapter in
the operator’s manual of the equipment model or accessory
