Exhibition rubric is an important base that we must make use of it in our capstone work as by following
EDP steps we must follow this rubric as it organize our ideas and give us certain steps that we follow in
front of evaluator.
In the last semester in exhibition we made use of it as first we began with abstract , we defined the
challenge facing us in semester so we gave a brief statement about major finding and conclusions,
noticing that abstract is understandable without reading the entire poster. We then gave introduction
that we summarized prior solutions and their points of strengths and weaknesses and we showed design
requirement that we put in our project.
After that we introduced analysis by showing idea of our project with more details that at it’s end the
evaluator understand idea. Further more we showed materials and methods , how we constructed our
prototype , then we gave conclusion for the whole.
This semester we will try to maintain advantages of previous exhibition but we will try to solve
disadvantages. The problem last semester was that we didn’t give much details about how the prototype
was constructed. We will try this semester to show obvious steps of building prototype.

Egypt suffers from severe water scarcity. The unequal distribution of water, the mis-use of water
resources and inefficient irrigation techniques are some of the main factors that play a destructive role in
water security in the country. our challenge this semester is to try to find another clean water source or
treat polluted water.
It’s important to solve this problem As water is very important in agricultural use. water is necessary for
all organism’s lives. Irrigation of cropland is necessary to increase production of food, in industrial field to
produce metals, wood and paper products, and oils.so it’s scarcity would affect all other fields.
It’s very necessary to solve this challenge

If water scarcity continues without solution, it will cause disturbance in ecosystems, death of
animals, humans because of thirst. In Agriculture, it’ll cause increase in desertification phenomenon

As result of water pollution, human will drink it that will cause many diseases that certainly will
lead to death. Egypt will have drought that affect it’s economic state

In physics, we learned that gravitational force affects objects by their attraction toward earth center.
Water flows downhill from higher to lower elevations due to the force of gravity with acceleration 9.8
m/s^2 .so due to the gravitational force which can be determined with the law ( G=gMm/r^2) water
can’t flow in opposite direction of gravitational force except if there is force done on it greater than
gravitational force that opposes gravity so that water is going up. a force is said to do work if, when
acting, there is a displacement taken . so there must be a Water Pump so it draws the water up from the
ground to supply in a number of sinks , water pipes that is used in irrigation does force on water upward
so that this force times distance moved by water equals work. as result water can be given to plants
through this pipes even by surface irrigation or normal one.

In chemistry , we learned about Osmosis which is The movement of solvent through a semipermeable
membrane from the side of lower solute concentration to the side of higher solute concentration. it
occurs whenever two solutions of different concentrations are separated by a semipermeable
membrane.to stop work of osmosis there must be Osmotic pressure that is the external pressure that
must be applied to stop osmosis
Reverse osmosis. a pressure greater than the osmotic pressure of the solution is applied, which causes a
net flow of solvent molecules from the solution to the pure solvent.
We can take advantage of reverse osmosis so that we apply pressure greater than osmotic pressure on
polluted water that contains solutes so that water flows through semipermeable membrane to pure
water. So we can use this in purifying water so that purified water can be used in agriculture to irrigate
crops.
Osmotic pressure needs more force than osmosis as we must apply force greater than osmotic pressure
and it is disadvantage for reverse osmosis.
