Antenna/USB
The antenna enable switch for Wifi communications is located on the top of the EFB.

A standard Ethernet RJ‐45 connection is provided on the left side of the EFB. There is also a
standard 1/8” stereo audio jack, a USB port, and a 15V DC power port.

Step 1
CHARGE THE BATTERY!
Plug the AC power supply into an AC power source and the EFB unit. Charge the EFB for four
hours before turning on the power.

The power button starts Windows and then the EFB Main GUI application. This application
organizes and launches the various Windows applications that are installed.
The screen shown below is just an example – your installed applications may vary. The Main
GUI consists of a taskbar and program launch buttons. The program launch buttons are created

by accessing the Configuration screen via the task bar. This screen is password protected. The
default password is L3DSADMIN (all caps). The other taskbar buttons are:

Press an application button to launch it. Once launched, it is added to the “Active Applications”
list. This list is useful for quickly redisplaying these applications.
