This session will help the participants to be equipped with the foundation and principles of leadership in the context of school administration through engaging activities and relevant inputs to apply basic leadership skills in their respective fields. Learning Objectives Terminal Objective: At the end of the session, the participants will be able to explain the concept of School Administration in both conceptual and operational level. Enabling Objectives: 1. Define school administration. 2. Identify and contextualize functions of school administration with its guiding principles. 3. Assess the participant’s leadership style. Key Understandings School administration is one of the most important ingredients into achieving a well-run school system. As such, this task is mostly like to be given to a problem solver with efficient time management skills. On the brighter side, this skill can be learned through genuine dedication and commitment to profession and professional development. Having a good school administration will probably result into a better over-all school condition. Hence, an administrator must know the nature, scope, task, and importance of this job. In this session, the participants are expected to internalize the guiding principles of an effective school administration. It includes planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting, and budgeting. As a result, he does not follow anything you say.” “A teacher keeps posting tiktok videos that are vulgar, below the belt, and sometimes with malicious and negative contents. As the principal, you took a screenshot of her tiktok post and shared it to the school’s facebook page to remind everyone to be careful of their posts and made it as an example.” What do you think of the action taken?
