For me, technology in communication is definitely a boon. We connect through communication via various ways, it can be, verbal or non-verbal, face-to-face or virtual, pen and paper or electronic. Basically, communication makes the world go round, we wouldn’t be discussing this if it wasn’t because of communication, I wouldn’t be able to speak and you to listen through your screens if it wasn’t because of communication. Basically, technology in communication comes in different ways. In talking to another person, wherever he is in the world is possible because of the involvement of technology in communication. It can be done through video chatting, or just simply by texting. It connects people or families that are miles or continents apart. It keeps them sane knowing that their loved ones are safe wherever they are. Furthermore, even communication with various sectors made easy by technology. Say now, that it is pandemic where it is very crucial to avoid close face to face contact with other people to not risk catching the virus. This is where technology becomes handy, from talking, to contact tracing, you can rely on communication to do the job. Almost all sectors have resort to going digital as it has been proven to be convenient and time saver. However, with the technology in the middle of a communication as a channel comes struggles. Here comes the corruption of data or the loss of network signal which is the main point as to how to communicate. Nonetheless, these are still being overlooked by experts to lessen the noise in communication and are seen to have promising results and are even to be expected that in the future, we will totally be relying on technology for communication. So again, is communication a bane or a boon? Definitely a boon, no doubt.
