1. Dora left the Philippines for US as a domestic helper.
It’s globalism because it involves long distance (one has to go to a different country) in exchange
work, it’s like a social pattern that we see. Most often people from the poor country seek job to
countries like US which is more powerful than their native country. It also shows the imperialism of
how one country has more influence than other countries.
2. Dora started clothing line in US highlighting Filipino designs.
It’s globalism because it is highlighting the interest of Filipino design above other individual
nations. Globalism doesn’t mean universality, it may also imply the connection which is reaching a
mass consumer, producing it to the market and making it accessible for the people to be more aware
of the products.
3. Us economy decline due to threats of terrorist attacks.
It’s globalism because it affected the global projection of USA power in both military and
economically.

1. Dora became part of the leading remittance payers of the Philippines.
Dora’s hard-work was already paid off. She was able to earn and save money and contribute to
her country’s financial inflows.
2. Dora meet Diego in an online dating site. Diego is an American Army of United States Navy.
It’s globalization because it involves people coming together from from different parts of the
world. There are so many different platform of social media, such as dating site, Facebook, instagram,
etc that made globalism much easier for people to connect
4. Diego visited Bohol and have started learning Bisaya dialect. Likewise, Dora used to visit and
reconnect with Diego’s family back in New York.
It involves travel and tourism in exchange of money, cultures, and knowledge of different
countries in a way, it’s showing how people can adjust and learn from each other.
5. Dora became US citizen after being married with Diego, eventually was offered a green card.
It shows one person moving out of their country to marry and getting a green card is showing
exchanging and blending of cultures.
6. She started building partnerships from the other city states, and then eventually had her products
imported and exported in and out of America.
It shows importing and exporting products from different countries. Trading products to job
opportunities for the people in different parts of the world.
7. NCOV brought great health threats among Filipinos who are near the companies.
It is globalization because it altered the way we all live and our resources. Trade and travel was
one of things that greatly impacted cause of this. We can also experienced the effect from economy,
health care , and the ability for people to do things that everyone from the globe is experiencing.
