Name: Anthony-Ubani Maranna Chimere Course: 6th Course, Medicine Group: 5 Dozen WHY IS BIOCLINICAL MEDICINE IMPORTANT My long-term goal is to become a bioclinical scientist. Bioclinical scientists operate at all stages of health science research, from basic science using non-traditional methods to human clinical trials testing the most cutting-edge advances to improve human quality of life. I'm interested in learning more about uncommon diseases. Many rare diseases impact only a small percentage of the population and, for this reason, go unrecognized. Unfortunately, this is mainly due to the fact that therapeutic medicines for rare disorders have a significantly smaller market than therapies for common ailments. Traditional medicine is used by up to 80% of the population in several Asian and African nations for health care. Ayurveda, siddha medicine, ancient Iranian medicine, Chinese medicine, Korean and African traditional medicine, and core disciplines that study traditional medicine are examples of traditional medicine practices. It is growing increasingly popular as developments in analysis and quality control, as well as advances in clinical research, demonstrate the significance of bioclinical medicine in improving and curing diseases. There is an enormous need for research focus to finally improve clinical outcomes in patients with rare diseases because many have a lifelong chronic prognosis, are inherited, and are not changeable by lifestyle variables, and are frequently underserved.
