CHEMISTRY 1 Name: Mark Josh DC. Ananca Grade and section: 12 - Matthew Assignment # 1: Differentiating Solid, Liquid, and Gas State of matter: Arrangement of particles: Properties: Relative spacing Relative motion of between particles: particles: SOLID particles are arranged in a regular manner. The spacing between the particles are small because they are packed together. The particles vibrate and does not move because they are tightly packed together. LIQUID Somewhat close together, however, the arrangement is random. The spacing between the particles are close but slightly separated, unlike solids. The particles can move and slide around one another. GAS Particles are freemoving, meaning it has no distinct arrangement. The spacing between the particles are far from one another The particles move quickly in all directions.
