1) FCC regulates information that is broadcasted to the people in the US. It has impacted by
banning certain things from being broadcasted to the public. Set standards and regulations. My
favorite show is called Lucifer and I remember they got in trouble for portraying “symbols” of
the church of satan, people complained because I guess the church of satan is a religious sector
and they were taking it out of context in the show. .
2) Cable originated in oregon and pennsylvania in around 1948 to make reception better in
remote areas. The way they did this was putting antennas in mountain tops. Technology has
made cable better because it has provided better speeds, better definition, smart tvs to enjoy
shows better Right now cable tv is dying because our advancement in technology has given us
more options to enjoy content, such as only streaming. It has given us the accessibility and
convenience of watching whatever we want at any time. The majority of people watching cable
are over the age of 47-68+. Once these people start passing, the cable service will eventually
end.
