Introducing
SOLO E’
The Detroit native known as Solo E proudly wears the triple threat title of Producer/Singer/Rapper.
From listening to the uplifting tunes of Kirk Franklin, to the smooth velvety sounds of Smokie Norful, the
artist learned to use his roots to grow and to bring into fruition his unexampled sound.
Growing up in a Christian household on the west side of Detroit, attending the Church of God in Christ
every Sunday, singing on the church choir, and rapping in his grandparents’ basement cultivated the multifaceted artist’s skill and ability. He learned to sing with the soul, passion, and zest that is often prevalent
and admired in African American churches. Known as one to march to the beat of his own drum and to
possess a tenacious love of the arts, the gifted singer has often labeled himself as the “odd-ball-out.”
Choosing to develop the side of himself that differentiated him from the average, Solo E learned to play
the guitar and piano. The music he created was mostly Christian Rap up until he moved to Chicago and
took to a different path.
Today, Solo E produces music in the R&B and Hip-Hop genres. He notes his greatest musical influencers
as, Michael Jackson, Notorious BIG, Keith Sweat, Marvin Sapp, Kirk Franklin, and Smokie Norful.
With an impressive résumé already in tow, Solo E’ appeared in the BET Tour 2011 as the opening act. He’s
also had the pleasure of performing on BET’s acclaimed television show, 106andPark, before the show was
canceled in 2014. Not to mention, Solo E has been fortunate enough to have opened for Young Jeezy and
Tyga in past performance and has made stage appearances at The Rave in Milwaukee, Arie Crown theater
in Chicago, and Six Flags Great America in Chicago. There is unquestionably more to come from this
dynamic artist, as there is no abandoning his purpose in life. Be sure to keep your eye on Solo E, so as not
to miss out on his exponentially growing musical journey!
