Community Outreach Proposal
PROJECT TITLE:
BACKPACK HEROES
OBJECTIVES :
To help those who are having a hard time learning basic cognitive skills like reading and writing
According to Child Hope PH a lot of children in our country deal with lack of classroom, teachers and means
to sustain top notch learning. This constant crisis is proven to have a long-term effect, therefore, a 2018
study found out that we ranked last in reading comprehension, out of 79 countries.
In our community outreach program, one of our objectives is to help children in understanding their
learning source material. We will help, especially those who are having a hard time learning basic cognitive
skills like reading and writing. Even If we are doing this in a limited amount of time, we are hoping to make
a lifelong impact to the children that will be part of our program.
Teach them how to deal with difficult or unexpected situations.
Teach children how to cope with tough or unexpected situations so when they are faced with a problem,
they can assess all of their alternatives and come up with the best answer.
Assist them in developing self-confidence and self-esteem in their abilities, activities, and choices.
They may be more prone to set lofty goals for themselves. Encourage them to look at their own
strengths and weaknesses without being too brutal on themselves.

INSTITUTIONAL LETTER
Backpack Heroes (Tramo Basketball Court)
Tramo Basketball Court
Dama de Noche St, Pasig, Metro Manila
Date: January 30, 2022 (Sunday)
We, the student (not sure) from STI (not sure) are writing this letter to kindly ask for your permission to let
us participate and extend a genuine support to the cause that Backpack Heroes (name of institution) is
advancing.
Our group decided to choose this institution due to the following reasons:
1. To help children who are having a hard time learning basic cognitive skills like reading and writing;
2. Teach them how to deal with difficult unexpected difficulties; and
3. Assist them in developing self-confidence and self-esteem in their abilities, activities, and choices.
We believe our participation would be a great benefit of additional resources for the outreach program
and our experiences would develop us individually.
Our group would very appreciate your kind consent on this matter.
Thank you for your attention to our request.
Best Regards,
Backpack Heroes
