Introduction
Please remember certain things that have been followed in this template for APA
formatting and is common for every APA referenced assignment—
Times New Roman, 12-font size, left alignment is for everything in the file
Cover page title is only 16-font size and centrally aligned, and this size is followed for
cover page only, if the assignment does not mention that everything has to be in 12-font size
2.0 That is double line spacing is followed throughout for every page
Page numbering is done on every page from the 1st page itself on the top right corner
The words “Running Head” with R and H capital are mentioned before the title in
header, only in the 1st page (using the option— ‘Different First Page’)
Rest all pages have only the title in all caps
Every paragraph inside the assignment must begin with a ‘Tab’ key as you can see
here, except for the Executive Summary and Abstract

Reference list must start from a fresh page, using the Ctrl+Enter option
It must be in the hanging indent format as you can see now— where the 1st line of the
referencing is towards the left, while from the 2nd line onwards, it shift towards the
right.
This you can also do manually by selecting the entire ref list & pressing on Ctrl+T from
keyboard.

Guidelines for doing Citation in APA—
If a reference (be it a book or a journal article) has 1 to 5 authors— then mention all of their
Surnames and mention the Year at last inside bracket
For example—
As mentioned by Calvo-Mora, Navarro-Garcia and Perianez-Cristobal (2015),
knowledge management is a very useful method of human resource management.
If a reference (be it a book or a journal article) has 6 or more than 6 authors— then mention
only the 1st author’s surname, who is 1st in that particular reference and don’t mention the
surname of the other authors. Instead, mention et al. after it followed by the Year at last
inside bracket.
For example—
As mentioned by Paul et al. (2015), the human resource is the backbone of the
organisation.
While doing website citation, then only Website name and year in bracket.
For example—
In 2019, Samsung has earned 2.3% more revenue, than it did, the previous year (The
Telegraph, 2019).
