How to Create a Reference
1. Go to citethisforme.com
2. Choose the APA style
3. Choose the source type. Example: Website
4. Copy and paste the URL of the website and click Search
5. If it is correct, click Cite
6. Notice that not everything if complete, click Continue to fill in any gaps and check for errors.
7. Check the title of the article is correct
 Look for the author at the start and end of the
article
- If there is no author click on the cross to remove
the author
 Look for a date at the start and end of the article
or at the bottom of the web page
 Click on Complete Citation
8. Copy and paste your reference into
your reference list on your word
document – remember alphabetical
order!
 Also note the correct format for the intext referencing of your source
